BLADE SHARPENING

 Maintaining a sharp blade is probably the most neglected part of maintaining your mower. For the average home owner mowing twice a week they should sharpen the blade no less then 2 to 3 times a year, more if you are hitting loose debris. The health of your turf relies heavily on the quality of cut it receives. A dull blade actually bruises the turf instead of a nice clean cut from a sharp blade.

 Chain saw blades should actually chisel chunks of wood and not create a pile of saw dust. If you are producing saw dust you should have the chain sharpened. A sharp chain can last a while but can be dulled in seconds by hitting dirt, always avoid hitting the ground. Stay sharp. Just call 919-747-1097
